A note on the Steeple baskets...

Annotated Image of Sheath of F050/51

Those that have purchased these instruments recently may have noticed that the sheath, when viewed in the package, looks like it's cut/separated and part of the instrument wiring is exposed - thus many are coming to the conclusion that the instrument is damaged/defective.

In actuality, this "piece of the insertion tube" is in fact being used as a protective sheath for the basket wiring so as not to be damaged in transit - since the design doesn't allow the basket to be completely inserted into the insertion tube when packaged, this is acting as an "extension" of the insertion tube.  It is meant to be removed before using the basket.

Please, just remove this short tube piece when you remove the instrument from the packaging so that you can properly use the instrument.  Thank you, and we hope this clarifies any questions you may have on this.
