MetriCide OPA Plus HLD - 1-Gallon Container

MetriCide OPA Plus is a High Level Disinfectant (HLD) for reprocessing heat sensitive semi-critical medical devices for which sterilization is not suitable, and when used according to the Directions for Use. It is glutaraldehyde-free (the active ingredient is ortho-Phthalaldehyde) and can be used manually or in an automated endoscope reprocessor (AER).

Does not require activation before use.

PRECAUTIONS:

Rinse devices thoroughly following disinfection or sterilization to remove toxic residues.  Contact with MetriCide OPA Plus Solution may stain clothing or environmental surfaces.  Wear eye protection, fluid-resistant gowns or aprons, and gloves when handling or pouring. Avoid contamination of food. Avoid exposure to vapors as they may be irritating to the respiratory tract and eyes. Use in well-ventilated areas. Between uses, keep in closed containers with tight-fitting lids.

Do not reuse beyond 14 days in an Automatic Endoscope Reprocessor or 30 days when manual reprocessing or sooner as indicated by MetriCide OPA Plus Solution Test Strips.

NOTE: MetriCide OPA Plus solution containers do NOT include the Solution Test Strips (SKU#: 10-602) - they are required to test to make sure your solution is correct and viable. Do not forget to include them with your purchase!
